Hotmail with Outlook

As you know, Hotmail is very popular - as is Outlook.  The problem with Hotmail email accounts is that they are web-based www.hotmail.com  -  and the functionality is limited to that of your web browser.  Many people dislike the extra step of logging in, and others do not like the limited user interface.  So if you currently use Hotmail - you may want to set up Outlook to view and send your Hotmail emails.  

You cannot use Outlook 97, 98, or 2000 as an email client for Hotmail !!  But you can use:

NOTE about Outlook 2000 with Hotmail :  Microsoft has what they call a "workaround" for Outlook 2000 - but it is nothing more than turning Outlook into a web browser by setting the View of a folder to "Web View".
